Update #3 : Jack the Ripper, Upcoming Scripts

Jack the Ripper was released earlier today. Despite its stellar cast, critics heavily critized the film's lack depht and character development. On the other hand, this movie becomes the highest grossing movie to come out of Mo Buck's.
A script that was previously mentionned by screenwriter Ann Morrow titled the Job was bought by Last Resort Films. Scott Eastwood and Margot Robbie are in for the two lead roles.
There is no progress to report on the script inspired by the Andrew Carlssin story, as the script is nowhere near finished and has been put on the ice.
A script was recently brought to my attention, an adaption of the video game Heavy Rain, originally created by David Cage. There's no screenplay yet, but it should be completed really soon.

Update #2 : Scorsese and Upcoming Scripts

Update #2 : Scorsese and Upcoming Scripts

The Raven in the Night was released earlier this week and turned a modest profit. With an all-star cast, including Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and a legendary director in Martin Scorsese, the movie was a financial success considering its high production cost. However, the plot was criticised and deemed as the weakest part of the project.

Screenwriter Harry Wright recently wrote a screenplay inspired by Jack the Ripper. The script was sold to Last Resort Films, with Benedict Cumberbacht and Ralph Fiennes in lead roles. Acclaimed director Tom Hooper is attached to the project.

A script by Dominic Walters was brought to our attention and will be pitched to studios soon. The script is inspired by a fake news surrounding a man named Andrew Carlssin, who was arrested after he gained over 200,000,000 on the stock market and claimed that he was a time traveller.

Screenwriter Ann Morrow recently showed me a promising script about a group of bank robbers who run into trouble in their last job, after they decide to add a newcomer in their gang. The action caper movie will be pitched to Last Resort Films soon.

Update #1 : The Beginning

Two of our films came out this week, written by Mo Buck.

The crime thriller Hunt, heavily inspired by Luc Besson's Le Professionnel, starring Gary Oldman, Millie Bobby Brown and Vincent Cassel and directed by Chan-wook Park. The movie was badly received and was a box office failure.

The second script written by Buck, Maria, based on French Canadian novel Maria Chapdelaine by Louis Hemond, starring Brie Larson as the titular character, with Alexander Skarsgard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Paul Dano as her love interests. The romantic drama was well received and was a surprise hit at the box office.

One of our script was bought by Last Resort Films. Writer James Morgan penned a crime drama that will be directed by Martin Scorsese and has Amy Adams, Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Michael Shannon and Keira Knightley hired to star in the movie, called The Raven in the Night.

Mo Buck Creates Mo Buck's Writer's Association

Writer Mo Buck has just announced that he founded the Mo Buck's Writer's Association, destined to be a collectivity of writers who can write script together for Last Resort Films. With already two scripts to his name, the badly received crime thriller Hunt and the surprise box office hit romantic drama Maria, Mo Buck wants to give writers the opportunity to express themselves freely and to see their project come to life more easily. With writers James Morgan and Harry Wright already registered in the Association, many wonder how far this group of writers can go.
